AKABA provides in-home Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to help individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our convenient, in-home, and center-based services are appropriate for children and young adults from the ages of 2 to 22.
AKABA uses an individualized, scientifically-validated, behavioral approach to help individuals develop and build on their personal, academic, and social skills. Our therapy professionals assess where each individual is in terms of the foundations of learning, and for each person, we build from there according to the family's goals, and at the optimal individual pace for each client. Using a positive approach that is often perceived as games, we help individuals replace unproductive behaviors such as aggression with helpful, rewarding behaviors such as listening, adherence, and play.
Some children with autism who receive early, intensive applied behavioral analysis for two or more years build sufficient skills to participate in regular classrooms with little or no additional support.
