If you were an ABA Therapist at AKABA.....
Our Techs are caring.
ABA techs at AKABA aren't just in it for the great pay, fun coworkers, or brilliant benefits-- they're working to make a difference. Our ABA Therapists come from strong psychology, special education, or childcare backgrounds, with an interest in ABA and using ABA to help young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our ABA techs are helpers and carers on a deep level-- they know that their work impacts the lives of their clients on a fundamental level, whether it's helping a 7 year old boy read his first complete sentence or helping an 18 year old girl buy a toy at her favorite store, our ABA techs are always ready to help and willing to take up the challenge.

Our Techs are Engaged.
ABA Therapist work tirelessly for their clients, and the work doesn't end after each one on one in home session. Therapists help inspect and validate information, create plans, cut out cards, choose toys, and so much more. AKABA's technicians are the hardworking heartbeat of the organization, and we at AKABA appreciate everything that they do. Our therapists know learning never ends, and take advantage of our free training and continued education to stay at the top of their game and ready to take on anything.

Our Therapists are data geeks.
A major factor in ABA is collecting data on every part of the ABA process-- on everything from Discrete Trials to pairing play. Translating action into numbers into information into graphs into action again is all part of the job. You don't have to love math to be an ABA Therapist, but it's good to be able to appreciate and read the data you take in and send out-- and see the actual, concrete impact you're having on your client's life.

Above all else, our ABA Therapists know they have been invited into the house to help the house become a home; that they are using scientific methods to help families grow together. AKABA Therapists are resilient, caring, and know there's no place like home.
